An 80-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot when a speeding biker knocked him down near his house in old Bagaluru Layout in KG Halli on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Hussain Khan,a carpenter by profession.
Senior officer told media persons,the deceased was walking home after dinner when a speeding biker lost control and knocked him down before fleeing the spot.
Hussain Khan sustained severe head injuries and passers by rushed him to hospital where he succumbed later .
The KG Halli traffic police have taken up a case of hit and run and are investigating further and efforts are on to nab the bike rider he added.
