Vaccine Vehicle to target door-to-door vaccine for citizens,flagged off by Chief Commissioner,Gaurav Gupta

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in association with the Care India Foundation around 80 vaccine two-wheelers and 16 mobile vaccination vans (cars) were flagged off today by the Chief Commissioner of BBMP Gaurav Gupta,along with Special Commissioner (Health),Dr Thrilok Chandra,City Health officer Dr Balasundar and other officers were present.

Each zones will get 8 two wheelers and 2 mobile vaccination vans (cars) for the the block and lane level vaccination drive along with a data entry operator (verifier) in each vehicle.

In the city, till date a total of 1,36,99,018 doses have been administered.Out of which 80,57,563 first dose (88 percent) and 56,41,455 second dose (62 percent) vaccination has been administered.

In the Palike limits all Urban Primary Health centers have been administrating vaccine along with Yelahanka’s Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan and Malleshwaram Youngsters Kabbadi Playground has been set up to administer the vaccine as part of Bruhat Lasika Mela which has options of walk-in and drive-in vaccination.

To increase the vaccination further more in the city,block and lane level vaccine drive was taken up. In the city wherever citizens have taken first dose and not the second dose,they will be identified and vaccinated by calling them over the telephone and reminding them.

“Ward level Health teams to take up vaccination drive”:

To increase the vaccination numbers furthermore,in the respective assembly constituencies,respective health teams have been taking up the ward level in the assembly constituencies and visiting door-to-door to admi nister the vaccine to whoever has not been vaccinated.

In the same regards,till now in around 70 wards health teams have visited and a total of first and second dose has been 35,000 people have been jabbed.

Also, according to the electoral roll whoever has turned about 18 years of age and not taken vaccine has been identified and have been vaccinated says Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta.
