The Banasawadi traffic police have arrested BBMP,Assistant Executive Engineer charging her as prime accused among the three persons following the death of a 21 year old food delivery boy in a road accident in Thanisandra main road on Saturday.
The victim,Azeen Ahmed,a food delivery boy lost balance on his scooter while negotiating a bad patch and slipped on the road only to be run over by a speeding good truck coming from behind.
The profusely bleeding Ahmed was rushed to hospital where he succumbed later to be excessive bleeding.
Senior officer as, DCP Traffic East, Shantharaju KM along with other officers rushed to spot and during the course of investigation it was found negligence on part of S.Savitha,AEE of Mahadevapura zone,who failed to get filled the patch of the newly asphalted road.
This amount to sheer negligence and as per the Supreme Court rules Savitha was made prime accused and arrested along with the truck driver Ravi Ramaswamy,31,charging them under death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving.
Savitha was later released on station bail while efforts are on to track down civil contractor, who is third accused in the case and is presently on the run he added.
