A 32-year-old HR staff of BEL company had a narrow escape when he slipped from a moving train after being attacked by an unidentified man to rob his mobile phone .
Though the incident occurred on Thursday, the victim, Nandish MP, had recovered from injuries and filed a complaint with the city railway police on Sunday.
In his complaint Nandish said that he was returning to his hometown by train after work . Since it was a heavy rush,he was traveling on footboard holding a phone in his hand .
While the train was passing the underbridge near Kengeri,an unidentified man appeared from nowhere and attacked Nandish with a wooden log.
A sudden blow caused Nandish to lose control and he slipped from the moving train while others looked on.
Luckily he fell on the side of the track and the mobile phone slipped from his hand.Before he could recover the attacker picked up the phone and fled away.
Nandish friend Devin Kumar who was traveling with him managed to get down from the train and rushed to his help.
With the help of others Nandish was admitted to a private hospital where he recovered on Sunday before filing a complaint.
Based on the complaint ,the city railway police have registered a case of theft and are investigating.
