Trio Inter-state burglars arrested by Magadi Road police,cracked 8 cases,stolen gold chains Worth Rs.16.65 lakhs Recovered

The West Division police of Magadi Road police have arrested a gang of three inter-state burglars and have recovered gold valuables worth Rs. 16.65 lakh,cracking eight cases.

The accused have been identified as Venkataramana,Krishnamurthy, both natives of Andhra Pradesh,and Ramesh,who hails from Bagepalli in Chikkaballapura.

Senior officer told media persons,a case was registered in Magadi Road police station on October 11,in which complaint stated that an unidentified miscreants had gained entry into the house when victim was taking bath and had escaped with a gold chain kept on a table.

After registering complaint,PI,GT Srinivas,and his crime team visited the house of the victim and after collecting and inspecting the spot special teams were formed team headed by PI,GT Srinivas,swung into action.

The team analysed CCTV footage in and around the area and where able to get a breakthrough in one of the CCTV footage which gave the identity of the miscreants and with the help of technology and police investigation skills Information was gathered about the accused and they were arrested while they came to sell the stolen gold ornaments to a gold Smith in the area.

During investigations the accused confessed the crime and based on his statement the team arrested two of his associates who were involved in committing crime.

The team grilled all the three who spilled the beans that they have committed similar offence in Magadi road,Vijayanagar,KP Agrahara and Chennapatna.

Based on their statement the team recovered 333 grams of gold chains Worth of Rs.16.65 lakhs from them.

A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that they had become friends when they were lodged in a prison for thier involvement in other cases.

After coming out of the jail,they had teamed up to commit burglaries.Eight cases have been detected with their arrest and 333 grams of gold jewels worth Rs.16.65 lakh have been recovered,” the police added.
