City police commissioner on Monday extended the prohibitory orders in the city till 5 am of January 3l.
The order was extended after the Chief Secretary and Chairman, State Executive Committee, Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority after reviewing the situation, proposed to continue the containment measures.
During the prohibitory orders all types of movements and activities are prohibited,except those exempted in the aforementioned orders and are having emergency situation.
The said order also prohibits all types of Rallies, Dharanas and protests.Besides, marriage functions shall be held with upper limit of 200 people and 100 people in open and closed places, respectively.
Any violation of the aforesaid instructions shall be liable for prosecution under provisions of section of the Disaster Management Act, and under Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act,Mr. Pant after reviewing the situation and directing the police to enforce covid guidelines .
