Hijab row: Prohibitory orders clamped in Bengaluru from Feb 9 to 22 – Kamal Pant

Prohibitory orders under section 144 of the criminal procedure code has been clamped in and around 200 meters radius of schools,PU colleges degree colleges and other educational institutions in the city for a period of two weeks with immediate effect from Feb 9 to Feb 22 , 2022.

The order was clamped in the wake of protests and agitations erupted in certain parts of the state held in connection with strict enforcement of school college uniform rules,city police commissioner,Kamal Pant, said in his order .

In some places the protest led to violence disturbing public peace and order.Since possibility of similar agitations and protest being held in Bengaluru city can not be ruled,it is very essential to initiate proper security measures to maintain law and order .

The order restrict holding protest,agitation for or against the strict implementation of school and colleges uniform rules in city,hence prohibitory orders in place to restrict any gathering,agitation or protest of any type around the educational institutions.
