Two habitual HBT offenders arrested by Vijayanagar police, Recovered stolen valuables worth Rs.16 lakhs

The West Division police of Vijayanagar police on Thursday arrested two habitual offenders and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 16 lakh from them.

The accused John Melvin and Manjunath are habitual offenders involved in over 13 house break thefts in and around the city.

Senior officer told media persons,a House break theft complaint was registered in Vijayanagar police station in which the victim said that when she went out on th January someone has gained entry into the house and ransacked the house and robbed valuables worth lakhs.

Based on a complaint on January 7,the Vijayanagar police inspector, R Sathish Kumar and his team swung into action and analyzed the CCTV footages and identified the identity of the accused.

Based on technical inputs and other intelligence the team track down the accused .

During investigation the duo confessed the crime and revealed that the duo used to spent the money lavishly on girls and massage parlours.

A police officer said adding that the accused would tip the messeur hefty tip ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.

The accused are alcoholics and spend the money lavishly till they run out of cash and get into another house break theft.

With their arrest the police have solved three house breaks including Vijayanagar,Kengeri and Audugodi police station limits and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP, Nanjundegowda,PI R Sathish Kumar,PSI,Manu,and his whole crime team who has done exemplary and excellent investigation in nabbing the duo habitual HBT offenders to lead a lavish life style are now in police net and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
