The Southeast cyber crime police on Friday arrested a 26-year-old JCB operator who was sexually harassing women online.
The accused has been identified as, Harish KN,26,native of Arakalgodu in Hassan.
Senior officer told reporters,a complaint was filed victim husband that some unknown person is video calling daily in the night time and even sending obscene video and photos on her wife number and is harrassing her from past 3 months to meet.
Based on a complaint filed by a victim,a team of police led by ACP,Sudhir M Hegde,PSI,Siddana A and his team swung into action using technology skill of police investigation skills the team track down the accused and arrested him.
During investigation the accused confessed to the crime and it is revealed that the accused Harish KN,native of Arakalgodu in Hassan district and working as JCB operator in the city.
The accused would source the contact numbers of home makers and send them objectionable videos and harass them.
Harish would even call them during night time and force them to meet .
Probe revealed that the accused had harassed around 10 women in and around the city for months on their FB account and whatsapp number and and sent them videos.
The accused has been taken into custody for further investigations.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East, Subramanyeswara Rao, DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,Sudhir M Hegde,PI,Yogesh ST,PSI,Nagesh GN,Siddana A,and crime staff as,Pandurangaiah,Nagesh,has successfully tracked the accused who gave sleepless nights to many in the city is now cooling his heels in jail and a special reward will be given to the whole team he added.
