A Jewellery shop situated in Ashwathnagar in Hennur has been burgled and gold valuables weighing 1.3 kgs have been stolen in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Senior officer with finger print experts visited the spot and after inspecting the spot said that the accused have drilled a hole in the wall to gain entry into Raghavendra Jewellers and ransacked thep premises before taking away the valuables .
Though there was a CCTV installed in the shop,it was not working for a few days due to technical snag.
The accused have recc eed the shop for a few days before committing the robbery.They left a drilling machine and a iron bar to behind.The Hennur police are checking the CCTV footage from in and around the area trying to identify the accused and a case has been registered in Hennur police station and further investigation is on.
