The West Division police of JJ Nagar police have busted a drug racket and arrested two peddlers who were hiding drug consignment in a graveyard which was a safe hideout for them for the last few months.
The accused has been identified as,Mansoor,Shoibulla Sharieff.
Senior officer told media persons,The racket came to light when alert police of JJ Nagar police station noticed Mansoor, a haibtual offender was moving suspiciously in JJ Nagar and tried to escape after noticing the patrolling police.
The patrolling cops chased and managed to pin him down the team intercepted him and found four kilograms of Marijuana which he carried to hand over to local peddlers.
Based on which Mansoor was brought to the station and a detailed questioning by PI,JJ Nagar,DC Manju and his crime team grilled him in their own style and the accused spilled the beans and led to graveyard where he hided 28.4 Kgs of marijuana in a grave worth Rs 15 lakh.
Based on his information the police arrested Shoibulla Shariff,mansoor’s contact from Ramanagar who supplied the drugs.
The duo was peddling drugs for the last few months and selling it to local peddlers by hiding it in grave yard. The duo has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigations are on to crack down on the racket which was linked from JJ Nagar to Ramanagar.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated Addl CP,West,Sandeep Patil, DCP,West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP,Kodandarama, PI,DC Manju and the alert patrolling police staff who has played a vital role in nabbing the duo and recovering Marijuana drugs from them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
