Bengaluru CCB Police raid Mood Dance Bar,Nine people held,64 women rescued

The CCB officials sleuths of Women and Protection wing officials on Wednesday raided Mood bar and restaurant under upparpet police station limits and rescued 64 women who were forced to dance on floor to the live music to lure the customers .

Senior officer told media persons,our CCB women protection wing officials received a credible information that a bar and restaurant by name Mood bar is running illegally live band without licence and forcing women to dance on the floor to lure customers.

Based on tip off,a secret operation was conducted by CCB women protection wing officials without giving any clue or hint to the jurisdiction police station and conducted the raid and arrested nine persons including 3 employees of the bar and rescued the women who were employed as bar tenders but forced to wear skimpy clothes and force to dance in front of the customers to seduce them and force them to throw money on them.

The police have also booked 74 customers in the bar and seized cash Rs 1.3 lakh which was showered on the girl at the time of the raid .

Inquiries revealed that the women were brought from Maharastra,Delhi,Punjab,Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh,Uttarahand,Uttar Pradesh,West Bengal and also from parts of Karnataka.

They were lured by offering decent jobs and forced to dance in front of the customers and lure them to shower money on them.

The owner of the bar who is presently running illegally and also violated Occupation certification (OC) condition by organizing illegal event at the restaurant,adding that the police are writing to the BBMP to cancel the OC and seal the premises he added.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Raman Gupta,DCP Crime-1,Dr SD Sharanappa,DCP crime-2,BS Angadi,ACP,PI and other staff who has successfully raided the dance bar without giving any hint or clue to local police and a secret operation done by the team is commendable and excellent work by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added
