BBMP budget meet:Call for raising revenue, speeding up city development

Regarding the Budget 2022-23 of BBMP, administrator,Rakesh Singh and Chief Commissioner,Gaurav Gupta gained suggestions and opinions from the Ministers,MPs,MLAs and MLCs today at the room number 318 of Vikasa soudha,today.

“There is a need to look at the development work in the BBMP limits and to lead with sustainable economic conditions.

It is needed to focus on the development of the city. It is the responsibility of the BBMP to focus on the development of the city and provide the necessary infrastructure to the citizens.

With regard,we request for the valuable suggestions opinions from the Ministers,MPs, MLAs on the current budget to present it keeping in mind the revenue of the BBMP requested the Administrator Rakesh Singh.

Speaking on the occasion,Gaurav Gupta,Chief Commissioner, said,Property tax collection has been given high priority in order to increase the source of income in the BBMP.

The work of converting streetlights into LED lighting in the city is being accelerated, wherever street lighting is not installed.He added that adequate maintenance will be done.

Main points discussed in the meeting :

1.If Rs 2 to 3 crores kept compulsory per ward for annual management (program Of Works) grants, it will make easier to resolve ward issues,so it will be given priority-all the leaders irrespective of party urged.

2.Consolidating more resources through bifurcating A khata from B Khata.

3.Increase the income base by bringing about 4. Lakhs of taxable assets to the tax jurisdiction.

5.Expedite the process of identifying unauthorized buildings and bringing them to the property tax jurisdiction.

6.The tax collected under the Self Assessment Scheme should be checked to match the actual status.

7.Allocation of grants to Onti Mane scheme.

8.Maintaining adequate maintenance of street lights and installation of LED street lights.

9.Maintaining the garbage management process adequately.Installing GPS for Compactor and Auto Tipper.

10.Arrange to collect arrears from policy lease assets.

11.Maintaining the management of rajakaaluve properly.

12.Giving priority to the maintenance of parks and exercise in the gardens, installation of children’s toys, and ensuring that the security personnel are in place.

13.Give priority to other programs including distribution of laptops to the poorest of the poor under the welfare program.

14.Promotion of Road Restoration for 110 Villages.

15.Ensure proper sidewalk/ footpaths.

16.Develop and maintain lakes properly.

17.preferring cutting of dead trees and dried branches.

18.Maintaining and installing CC cameras in the city.

19.Prioritize the completion of work already undertaken.
