A 35 year old journalist with Thomson reuters found dead at her apartment in whitefield on Tuesday.
The deceased Shruthi was married to Anish Koyadan in september 2017 and the couple were living in an apartment .
After a fight Anish left to his hometown while Shruthi stayed back at apartment.
The couple used ro have frequent fights and Anish would come home drunk and used to allegedly harass her, Nishanth Narayan,elder brother of Shruthi, said in his complaint.
The incident came to light on tuesday when Nishanth tried to reach her but she was not responding.
He came ro visit her and found the door locked . With the help of neighbour the doir was broke open to find her decomposed body hanging to the window of her bedroom using a saree.
Nishant in his complaint said that Shruthi ended her life due to harassment and demanded legal action against Anish.
Based on the complaint the Whitefield police have registered a case of abetment to suicide and section 498A ( Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) against Anish and further investigations are on.
