The Anti-Narcotics wing of CCB officials on Thursday arrested a drug peddler and seized MDMA and ecstasy worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
The accused has been identified as,Ajay Kumar.
Senior officer told reporters,a credible information was received by ACP Anti-Narcotics Wing that a person near high grounds police station in a road side is waiting for someone and it looks some suspicious in his behaviour as suspect of in possession of narcotics substances.
Based on a tip off,a team of officials rushed to the spot and after keeping a close watch on the person the team got doubt on him and approached him and during questioning it was found suspicious behaviour in him the team frisked him and found narcotics substances and the team caught Ajay Kumar red handed while he was waiting for his customers on roadside in high grounds .
Probe revealed that the accused used to get drugs from his source and sell it to students and IT professionals .
The cops have booked him under NDPS and investigating further to ascertain his network.
Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Crime,Raman Gupta,DCP Crime-1,Dr SD Sharanappa,and his whole team for nabbing the notorious drug peddler and recovering MDMA and ecstasy tablets from him a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
