A 34-year-old murder accused died as he jumped from the 5th floor of the city civil court complex while being escorted by City Armed Reserve police on Wednesday.
The severely injured Jitin was rushed to Hosmat hospital and later succumbed to injuries.
Senior officer told reporters,the murder accused Jitin was arrested by Hulimavu police on March 2020 for killing his 5year old daughter and 1.5 year old son over a domestic row with his wife.
The accused was in judicial custody in Parappana Agrahara prison since then and on Wednesday a team of CAR police escorted him to appear for a hearing .
While returning from court hall and walking down the ramp,Jitin pushed the CAR constables escorting him and jumped down.
The Halasurugate police have registered a case and initiated investigations into the incident.
