The West Division police of Kamak shipalya police on tuesday arrested two habitual offenders and recovered stolen bikes and gold valuables worth Rs 6.3 lakh.
The accused identified as Sandeep and Veeresh from Andhrahalli and Bellanduru.
Senior officer told reporters,Based on a complaint by one of the bike owner stating that his bike parked in front of the house has been stolen on March 29.
A special team was formed by PI,Kamakshipalya, Prashanth M,the police team began to verify the CCTV footage to find two more bikes have also been stolen at the same time from the Neighnoring area of Annapoorneshwari Nagar.
The team analyzed more CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused and the crime team found that the accused are habitual offenders and based on technical inputs the team arrested them.
During investigation the accused confessed the crime and based on their confession the police recovered three stolen bikes and gold valuables total worth Rs 6.3 lakh.
A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused used to steal bikes parked in front of the house and used them to rob bikers moving on highways and near tourist places.
The Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
