Ms.Shobha Khatavkar,59,a Superintendent of police of the Karnataka police was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her flat in Puttenhalli Bengaluru on Friday.
Woman officer,Shobha Katavkar,59 ,recently promoted and transferred as Vice principal of Police Training college Kalaburgi and later the orders were modified and she was appointed as SP, HESCOM Hubbali.
It further added that Shobha was alone at her residence when her family members had gone out.
The incident came to light when Ms.Shobha son called to check on her but there was no response.
After many failed attempts,he called the security guard to check.The security guard went to check and found that,She was then found dead in her flat.

police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem.
Recently Ms.Shobha was given a farewell by their officers and staff after she got promoted and transferred as SP, HESCOM Hubbali, from the city special branch where she served as DySp,she has served in various police stations and had a good performance.
Ms.Shobha Katavkar was very bold and dedicated officer.
The police suspect that Cardiac arrest could be the reason and await the report to ascertain the cause of death.
A Case of unnatural death has been registered. The FSL team and finger print squad reached the spot for probe said a senior officer.
