The Southeast Division police of HSR Layout police on Saturday arrested a 26-year-old peddler and seized 105 kgs of marijuana worth RS 52.5 lakh from him.
The accused has been identified as Sadiq, resident of Hosur,
Senior officer told media persons,that the HSR layout police station crime team were on their routine rounds in the area while on rounds they noticed a person waiting for someone in TVS XL scooter.
The crime team got suspect on the person the team kept a close watch on him and after getting suspicious on his behaviour the team approached him and questioned him for whom he is waiting and what is in the bag.
The team checked the bag and found drugs substances as Marijuana from him.
The team secured him and took him to station for further questioning during investigation the accused confessed the crime and the team grilled him who spilled the beans that he has stored huge drugs in dilapidated house.
Based on his information the police inspector and his team rushed to the spot and seized 100 kgs of drugs from his house.
The accused said with the help of his father he would source the narcotics from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Then he would smuggle the drugs from Hosur to city and store it in a dilapidated house in HSR Layout .
He would then take small quantities every day and sell it to his contacts depending on the requirements.
Sadiq has been booked under NDPS act and taken remanded to judicial custody.

Ramachandra,Venkatswamy,Manjunathswamy,Kattaiah,Bheemapa Madhar, Gangadhar Hadapad and others has been appreciated for nabbing the Notorious drug peddler and a suitable reward will be given to whole team for the commendable job done by them he added.
