ACB caught Woman traffic inspector while accepting bribe of Rs.20000 from a contractor

CB officials on Wednesday trapped a Traffic woman police Inspector red handed while accepting Rs.20,000 from a contractor to grant permission for civil work which he was supposed to start with due permission at Chikkajala.

The trapped inspector identified as,Smt.Hamsaveni of Chikkajala traffic.

Senior ACB official,said,a complaint was registered by a contractor of GAIL company who stated in his complaint to lay a underground gas pipeline connection for telecom layout residents he approached Chikkajala traffic police station for permission.

While he submitted a request for road digging the staff identified as,Gangaraju and Amul demanded Rs.50,000 for permission and asked him to pay Rs.20,000 to inspector on Wednesday.

Unable to pay the bribe,the contractor complained to ACB who laid a trap and caught Inspector Hamsaveni,red handed .

Based on complaint the ACB officials laid a trap and asked the contractor to handover the money and the officials were waiting outside the police station for his signal to enter inside when the contractor was handing over the money to inspector our team caught the inspector red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.20,000 and has been detained for further investigation.

She has been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and taken into custody for further investigations he added.
