Two Notorious bike lifters arrested by Madiwala police,8 stolen bikes worth Rs.5 Lakh recovered

The Southeast Division police of Madiwala police on tuesday arrested two bike lifters and recovered 8 stolen bikes worth Rs five lakh from them.

The accused has been identified as,Vinith Kumar and Mubarak, aged 23 and 22 years.

Senior officer told reporters,Based on a series of vehicle theft complaints,a special team was formed by Madiwala police inspector and his crime staff who kept a close watch in the area and caught the accused red handed while they were moving suspiciously.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and it was revealed that they used to move around the area to target bikes parked in front of the house an steal them using duplicate keys.

The accused would then,use the bikes for joy rides and stunts until find people who could buy them without documents for throwaway prices .

Based on their information,the police recovered all the 8 stolen bikes before they could sell them at throw away price.

Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,Sudhir M Hegde,PI,Paul Priyakumar,PSI,Nagaraj S Shettar,Prakash KB and their whole team who has successfully nabbed the notorious bike lifters and recovered stolen bikes from them a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
