Kerala witnessed a huge controversy after his speech targeting the Muslim community at the Hindu Maha Sammelan held in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday.
Following 
this,the Thiruvananthapuram Fort police registered a case against PC George and the Fort police secretly took PC George into custody this morning at PC George’s residence in Erattupetta Poonjar in Kottayam district.
PC George,who was taken into police custody, was taken to the AR camp in Thiruvananthapuram for questioning and was produced in court and released on bail.
With this the CPI (M) came under heavy resistance.
A senior CPI (M) leader said that the arrest of PC George and his subsequent release on bail would be a major challenge for the CPI (M) in the days to come.
CPI (M) and Congress leaders had hoped that PC George would be arrested and remanded in custody today,during Ramadan tomorrow.But they suffered a heavy blow from the court.
A CPI (M) leader said that the CPI (M) and the Congress-Party would face the consequences in the coming days.
At the same time, BJP leaders believe that Hindu-Christian unification in Kerala will be strengthened with the arrest of PC George.
The BJP believes that the propaganda that the Pinarayi government is hunting down a Hindu spokesperson and that PC George is its latest victim will benefit them politically.
BJP leaders believe that this will help strengthen the party’s influence among Christians.The BJP leadership is aware that the political situation is similar to that of the Sabarimala agitation.
The BJP leaders are hoping that the retired Catholic Bishop of Central Kerala,who has taken a pro – BJP stance,will benefit the BJP.
With PC George released on bail today,there are indications that the BJP and other organizations, including CASA,will take a strong stand against Muslims.Central leaders,including Amit Shah,are hopeful that Kerala will favor the BJP in the coming days as the position of PC George and the position of the former Catholic Bishop come to light.
