The Yelahanka new town police arrested a 19-year-old youth for killing a wall painter in an inebriated state on last Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as,Balakrishna,
Senior officer told reporters the youth was drunk and went to a roadside shop to buy snacks and was misbehaving with the shop keeper.
The deceased Ravi Kiran who was standing near the shop objected and advised him against drinking.
Heated argument ensued between them in the melee Balakrishna took a brick and attacked Ravi Kiran .
A severe blow on his head rendered him unconscious .
The profusely bleeding Ravi Kiran was taken to a near-by hospital where he succumbed on Saturday.
Based on the complaint,the Yelahanka New Town police arrested Balakrishna charging him under murder and remanded him to judicial custody.
