The Northeast cyber crime police on Saturday arrested a group of three persons from Bellary for cheating gullible investors through fake investment consultancy firm.
The accused has been identified as,Rahmatulla, 29,Mallaiah Swamy,29 and C.Durgappa,28 from Siraguppa taluk of Bellary district .
Senior officer told reporters,Based on a complaint by one of the investor,a team of police led by Inspector Santosh Ram R,track down three persons who were running fake consultancy firm and cheating gullible investors.
During raid the police team recovered three phones,Six SIM cards and other gadgets from them.
During investigation the accused confessed the crime and it was revealed that the accused would call the gullible investors posing as executives from Mae in profit,a investment consultancy firm and offer best advise to invest and earn huge returns .
Many people fallen for their trap and transferred lakhs of rupees to the accused account hoping that they invest in stock market,but the accused would cheat them.
The police have taken the accused into custody for further investigations.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,PI,Santhosh Ram R,PSI,Raman Gowda,and staff as,Ramesh,Oblesh and Shashikala who has done commendable job in detecting the case and nabbing the trio a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
