A four-year-old boy was killed and his father injured when a speeding car knocked them down on temple road in Somasundarpalya in Electronic city on Saturday.
The deceased Avinash was walking along with his father Hanumanthappa, a construction labourer, to a near-by shop to buy groceries when the incident occurred .
The accused Andanaiah,35,driving the car in rash and negligent manner knock down the duo .
While Hanumanthappa fell on the other side, Avinash crushed under the wheels.
Passers-by rushed to the help and shifted him to the hospital but the doctors declared him as brought dead.Hanumanthappa is admitted and being treated .
The Electronic city police registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against Andanaiah and arrested him for further investigations .
In another incident,Sunethra Pandit, a TV artiste injured when she slipped from the scooter while negotiating a hump in NR Colony on Saturday night.
Ms.Pundit was returning home later from shooting when the incident occurred.Residents complained that it was unscientific hump put up by the civic authorities and demanded that it should be removed .
