Today, Amravati: Heavy rains and strong winds lashed the region for two days, causing severe damage to agricultural and horticultural crops. Immersed the farmers vertically. The waves have been pounding the coast since Wednesday morning. The Uppada-Kottapalli road was destroyed by the waves. The barge, which washed ashore on Tuesday, sank in the sand. Due to the intensity of the waves it reached Kakinada beach. Approach bridge over flood canal in Pratipada zone E. Gokavaram collapsed.
Three deaths
An MPTC member traveling on a two-wheeler from S.Raivaram to Upparapalli in Nakapalli district was killed on the spot when a coconut tree fell on him. Wakapalli Srinivasa Rao (43), a laborer from Purillu, died on the day he was sleeping in Appannapeta in Kamanagaruvu area of Amalapuram zone. One person was killed in a lightning strike in Jaldanki zone of Nellore district.
Severe damage to crops on thousands of acres

Flight services canceled
Gannavaram village, Visakhapatnam, News Today: Several flights operating from Vijayawada International Airport were canceled on Wednesday due to typhoon Asani. Delhi and Hyderabad services scheduled to reach Vijayawada at night have been canceled. Indigo Airlines has suspended Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Kadapa Link services. A total of 16 services were canceled, authorities said. Meanwhile, flights to Visakhapatnam International Airport were canceled. Airport Director K Srinivasa Rao said 22 Indigo, 4 Air Asia, 2 Air India and Kolkata SpiceJet flights were completely canceled.
Weak though .. Light to moderate rains
