Three Habitual offenders arrested by Yelahanka New Town police,9 stolen mobile phones worth Rs.1.5 Lakhs recovered

The Yelahanka new town police on Monday arrested a gang of three habitual offenders and recovered nine mobile phones worth Rs.1.5 lakh from them.

The accused has been identified as,Darshan,21,A George,20 and Dinesh, 23 from Vidyaranyapura.

Senior officers told reporters a college student Ms.Lakshmi filed a complaint in Yelahanka New Town police station,stating she was walking home from college when the accused intercepted her at Nagenahalli gate and escaped after snatching her mobile phone.

The police took up the case and analyzed CCTV footages from in and around the area to identify the accused.The accused identity was identified by the crime team who were habitual offenders involved in bike theft cases.

The team using local intelligence skill and with the technical evidence tracked all the trio and grilled them who confessed to the crime and based on their statement the team recovered 9 stolen mobile phones worth Rs.1.5 Lakhs from them.

They were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.After coming out of bail,the trio jumped bail and started robbing mobile phones from the people walking alone in and around the Yelahanka since the last six months he added.

Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,and his whole team for the commendable job done by them and a special reward will be given to whole team he added.
