Action plans for Rs.28,000 cr under SCSP/ TSP programmes approved: CM Bommai

Action plans for various welfare programmes worth over Rs28,000 cr under the SCSP/TSP programme were cleared on Friday at the SC,ST State Development Council meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to media persons after the meeting Bommai said,the meeting took stock of the utilisation of allocations of last year and funds remaining unspent.

Some of the programmes were cleared with some modifications and most of the programmes were approved without any changes.

Allocation for Social Welfare department has been raised by Rs.500 cr, the Rs.851 cr grant for Agriculture department has been increased to Rs.1061 cr, the grant for Horticulture department has been increased to Rs.187 cr from the earlier Rs.142 cr, the grant for Health department has been hiked to Rs.1300 cr from the previous year’s Rs.899 cr, Bommai said.

The amount reserved for pensions in the Revenue department has been raised to Rs.3748 cr from Rs.2900 cr.

Free Bus Pass

A sum of Rs.20 cr has been allocated for development of places visited by Dr BR Ambedkar in the state.

It has been decided to issue free bus passes for SC,ST community students, Bommai said.
