JP Nagar Police cracked Jewellery Shop burglary case,arrested 10 accused and Recovered stolen property Worth Rs.55 Lakhs

The South Division police of JP Nagar police cracked the Priyadarshini Jewellers burglary case where a gang drilled a hole from third floor into the shop by using drilling machine and gas cutters to rob five kilos of gold valuables worth Rs.2.5 crore on April 18.

The accused has been identified as,Adil Munarrul Haq,Sulaiman Sheikh,Azeezur Rahman,Ramesh Bista,Raju Bista,Saddam,Munrul Sheikh, Sharfuddin Sheikh,Saleem Sheikh and Sainoor Baby from Jharkhand.

Senior officer told reporters,a burglary case was reported in JP Nagar police station on April 18th in which the owner filed a complaint that some miscreants has drilled a hole in the building from top ceiling of shop and made away with Rs.2.5 Crore Worth Five kgs of gold ornaments.

Based on complaint As many as eight special teams were formed by Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil, under the supervision of DCP South Harish Pandey,ACP,Srinivas KV,with PIs,of various police stations of South Division.

The team visited the scene of crime and during inspecting the spot and verifying with neighbours and shop owner who said that the owner has rented a house to a group of people last month and after the incident they are missing and the owner gave them details of their KYC which was found to be fake.

The team analysed CCTV footage and with other technology skills and police investigation skills the special teams were split and were sent in search of accused to different states and the team with the help of technical inputs track down the accused including a woman and arrested them.

The team arrested 10 persons including a woman Adil Munarrul Haq,Sulaiman Sheikh,Azeezur Rahman, Ramesh Bista,Raju Bista,Saddam, Munrul Sheikh, Sharfuddin Sheikh, Saleem Sheikh and Sainoor Baby from Jharkhand and recovered 1.1 kgs of valuables worth Rs 55 kgs while efforts are on to recover the rest.

Explaining the modus Operandi,he said that it was a well planned and executed crime by the accused who had rented a second-floor house in an adjacent building just about a month ago.

The jewellery store is in the ground floor of a three-storey building situated on 14th cross,1st phase JP nagar.

The first and second floors are used as family guesthouses and have separate entrances.

K Rajudevadiga 59,owner of the shop told the police that the accused had drilled a hole at the wall of the second floor to gain entry into the shop and used gas cutter to break open the iron safe door and take away the gold jewels worth Rs 2.5 crore .

A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused had disposed the major part of the valuables which would be recovered in due course,and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West, Sandeep Patil,DCP South,Harish Pandey,ACP, Srinivas KV,PIs,as,Radhakrishna TS,Manjunath KR,Rakshith,Manjunath U R,PSIs,as,Arvind Kumar G,Praveen Kumar,Prasanna Kumar,Hariprasad,Ms.Asha KB,Padmanabh,Chandan Kale,Vinay Manjunath,Srinivas,Shivashankar,and other crime staff of South Division of various police stations has been appreciated for the exemplary and meticulous investigation done by them in nabbing the 10 member gang and recovering the stolen property a suitable reward will be given to whole for the commendable job done by them he added.
