Animal activist attacked miscreants robbed his scooter Manhunt on for attackers by Ramamurthynagar police

The Ramamurthynagar police are on the lookout for a man who attacked,Anti-cruelty Officer working for the welfare of animals at People for Animals with a dagger and rob his scooter in the early hours of Wednesday.

The victim Tarun Agarwal,31,was on his way feed the hungry street animals.

In his complaint Mr.Agarwal said that it was raining heavily and he was waiting at a roadside to feed the dogs at around 1 am .

The accused aged around 30 years approached him on the pretext of seeking help to get fuel .

Initially Agarwal refused to help but due to repeated request he agreed to go with him where his bike was reportedly stranded .

As the duo reached the HDFC ATM opposite a residential apartment towards vijaya bank colony extension,the accused pulled out a dagger from the seat of a parked bike and attacked him.

Mr.Agarwal tried to avoid and in the melee sustained cut injuries on his face an started bleeding.

The accused then grabbed the bike and sped away,Mr.Agarwal tried to stop and raised alarm for help but the accused escaped with the scooter which contained two mobile phones , important documents,house keys and dog medicine and ATM card .

The whole incident was caught on cctv installed near-by.The footage was later submitted to the police for further investigation.

Lethargic attitude of police:

Soon after the incident,the victim approached a man selling tea on roadside at the signal few yards away and with his help called the control room to report about the robbery.

Though the hoysala patrolling vehicle arrived after 15 minutes they were lethargic to pursue the accused and to locate the bike.

He later insisted the police to locate the accused based on the directions in which he sped away, but by then he had vanished .

The lacklustre attitude of the police & utterly negligent attitude from them, is a major concern for all as this is the main cause for all these mishaps & crimes that are occuring in many areas especially in the jurisdiction of Ramamurthynagar, Hennur and Kr Puram- Avlahalli limits,Mr.Agarwal, said .

The police are now trying to verify the CCTV footage to identify the accused and sounded alert across the city to lookout for the particular make of the vehicle.
