KSRTC conductor suspended & booked for allegedly kicking woman passanger over trivial row

The Bagalagunte police have registered a case against KSRTC bus conductor for allegedly kicking a woman passenger over a trivial row at Dasarahalli bus stop in the early hours of Tuesday.

The victim Sirajunnisa along with her two children was travelling from Koppa in Chikamagaluru to Bengaluru .

The bus reached Dasarahalli bus stop at around 4.45 am and Sirajunnisa delayed getting down with his two children and luggage .

Irked by this the accused conductor Ravi Kumar humiliated and hurled abuses at her.

Heated argument in the melee,the accused Kicked her.Shocked by this the victim accompanied by her relatives approached the bagalagunte police and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint,the police registered a case of assault against the accused and detained him for questioning.

Meanwhile KSRTC issued a statement regarding the assault,said,In an incident, Conductor, Ravikumar of Bangalore Central Division Non AC Sleeper Bus KA 57 F 4157 plying from Sringeri to Bangalore, on a request of a lady passenger travelling from Koppa with 2 kids gave a stop to alight at Peenya around early morning 4.30 hours today morning.

However,while alighting,since it took a while for the lady passenger to get down, an unnecessary argument ensued between Lady passenger and the Conductor which led to Conductor assaulting the Lady.

Based on the Complaint a case has been registered against Conductor at Bagalagunte Police Station.

In this regard,concerned conductor has been kept under suspension with immediate effect pending enquiry.

Safety of the women passengers is KSRTC’s top most priority.KSRTC deeply regrets the incident. KSRTC senior officers have personally met and spoken to the lady passenger and have apologized on behalf of KSRTC said a release by KSRTC.
