The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Bengaluru, busted a heroin peddling network operating across the country. NCB sleuths arrested the kingpin of the network,a Nigerian national based out of New Delhi and nine of his associates,and recovered 34.89 kg of heroin Worth Rs.52.5 Crores and Rs. 5.8 lakh in cash from the arrested.
NCB Bengaluru Zonal Unit busts major Heroin Trafficking Network Operating in India,Nigerian kingpin of this heroin drug syndicate operating from New Delhi apprehended along with 9 other gang members.
Based on credible information received,the officers of NCB,Bengaluru effected a seizure of 7 kg heroin,which was concealed in the false bottom of a suitcase of one female passenger coming from Zimbabwe to Bengaluru by flight at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru on 24th May.
The said lady was apprehended along with her associate at the airport.
Both the ladies were interrogated thoroughly, during which they revealed that one similar bag was kept in the lodge where they were staying and immediately the search of room resulted in the recovery of similar type of bag and 6.890 kgs. of Heroin.
In the technical analysis,it came to light that 03 more lady passengers with similar consignment have boarded Rajdhani Express and left Bengaluru to Delhi.
The information was shared with the Indore team and recovered 21 kgs of Heroin from three similar trolley bags and apprehended the three ladies from a lodge at Itarsi,Madhya Pradesh.
Further enquiry conducted simultaneously,the handlers of these girls were identified and intercepted at KIA airport Bengaluru and upon enquiry their interrogation revealed about the lead and details of the Nigerian kingpin and his handlers in Delhi.
The NCB Bengaluru team with assistance from the NCB Delhi Operations Team was successful in nabbing the Nigerian kingpin of this Heroin racket and 3 more female African associates.
Thus, based on one single input,NCB Bengaluru Zonal Unit managed to successfully bust and neutralized the entire Heroin syndicate operating across India.The investigation of this case is in progress.
Heroin, is an opioid used as a recreational drug for its euphoric effects and is potent and dangerous depressant drug.It is very commonly abused drug.The side effects of the drug are very dangerous on the human body and are fatal.
