Officials preparing merger proposals

NEP and CBSE are the same departments for implementation

Amravati: Intermediate will be merged into the school education department. Officials are preparing proposals for this. The Inter-Academic Council, established in 1971, is about to disappear. There are officers from both the departments in the Government Examinations Department which is currently conducting Class X examinations. The new National Education Policy (NEP) 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 will have grades 9, 10, 11, 12 for the last four years. A curriculum framework needs to be implemented specifically for these. The merger was prompted by the implementation of NEP in the state, the introduction of the CBSE policy in public schools and the launch of Plus Two in high schools anyway. Work is underway to complete the process in the coming academic year. Discussions are being held on the appointments of faculty and principals, terms of service, and what new departments should be set up. In promotions for teachers, faculty,

The merger proposal is as follows:
The Board of Educational Research and Training in Intermediate will be merged with the State Council for Educational Research and Training in School Education (SCERT). Inter-vocational courses are integrated into the vocational courses conducted under the Comprehensive Education Campaign. The new Director-Academic, Director-Administration and Director-Accounts departments will be set up to combine school education and inter-education. Those below are taken in 2 branches.

Currently there are 4 Regional Joint Director (RJD) posts in school education .. There are three in Inter. In this context, a new Inter-RJD post will be set up in Visakhapatnam. If there are two RJDs one will supervise from 9th to 12th class. The staff of the Inter-Academic Board will be merged into the Government Examinations Division. Ten, this board conducts examinations for the Intermediate.

434 new government junior colleges will be set up in the state from next academic year. Of these, 292 colleges were set up in high schools and were known as ‘High School Plus’. There are opportunities for teachers and junior lecturers in the replacement of principal posts. The post of Junior College Principal will be changed to Zonal Post. Qualified teachers in high school plus are expected to be hired as lecturers through promotions. Ninety percent of existing junior colleges are directly recruited and 10 percent of non-teaching staff are replaced by promotions. Basic MPC and BPC courses will be introduced in High School Plus.

Intermediate has RIO, DVEO and Deputy DEO posts in the district, but only one DVEO post per district as new districts are formed. No decision has been made on who will oversee the high school plus at the field level
