wo persons were killed on the spot while another critically injured when a speeding tractor carrying eucalyptus tree load collided into their motorcycle which they were riding triple on Saturday night .
The deceased have been identified as Surya B, (19), his friend Mahesh M,(20),and the injured is Kumar M,(20) and his condition is said to be critical.
Nelamangala traffic police with other senior officials visited the spot and said the victims were residents of Sulakunte village and were working in a private factory.
The incident took place at Kulavanahalli-Sulakunte road near Nelamangala on Saturday evening and a case of negligence driving has been filed against the tractor’s driver who was driving without headlight and driving in rash and negligent manner .
The incident occurred around 7.30 pm and they were going to the factory for the night shift and meanwhile the tractor driver who was heading towards Thyamagondlu collided head on into the bike.
Surya was riding the bike while Mahesh and Kumar were riding pillion.The tractor was loaded with eucalyptus logs and the driver was overspeeding the vehicle.
He had run away from the accident scene instead of helping the injured,the police officer added.
The Nelamangala Rural police who conducted the spot mahazar shifted the bodies for the postmortem and the driver was later arrested based on information and a case has been registered in Nelamangala traffic against the driver and investigation is on.
