NSUI Workers attempt to lay seige Education Minister BC Nagesh house in Tiptur,15 detained

he activists of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) laid a siege to the residence of Primary and Secondary Education Minister B C Nagesh in Tiptur on Wednesday, staging protest against the textbook revision committee.

Police have registered a case against the members of NSUI for allegedly attacking the residence of education minister CV Nagesh in Tiptur on Wednesday.

The police detained as many as 15 members including president and Vice president who allegedly tried to set fire at the premises injuring a policeman on duty.

Home Minister Araga Jnanendra visited the house and spoke to Mr. Nagesh and instructed the police to initiate necessary action.

The police have taken up a case against the protestors and heightened security cover to the minister .

Meanwhile security has also been provided to Rohith Chakrateertha,following growing resentment and protest against him.
