kannada film producer among four arrested by Rajajinagar police for cheating people offering sites at cheaper rates the team booked them under BUDS Act.
The accused had invested crores in movies and incurred huge loss,in order to recover the loss he hatched a plan to cheat people and landed in jail.
The accused have been identified as Manjunath, Shivakumar,Gopal and Chandrashekhar.
The Rajajinagar police arrested four persons including the producer of a Kannada movie on the charges of cheating a city based businessman promised site at a cheaper rate .
Senior officer told reporters,the accused Manjunath invested huge amount of money on a newly released movie and incurred huge loss.
In order to recover he along with his associates launched a real estate firm in Rajajinagar offering sites in and around the city at good locations.
The accused had taken Rs.two lakh advance amount from Pushpa Kumar after he was taken to a layout and showed him the site belonging to someone else.
The accused started giving evasive response whenever Pushpa Kumar approached them for the registration and other process .
Suspecting something fishy,he approached the police and filed a complaint .
The police have booked all the accused under BUDS Act,(Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019,and taken the accused into custody for further investigations.
Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP North,Vinayak Patil,ACP,Malleswaram sub-division,KS Venkatesh Naidu,PI,RP Ashok,and his team as,PSIs,as,Ms.Rohini Reddy,Raghavendra Upari,Pradeep Kumar C,and crime team as,Jagadish, Krishnamurthy,Paramesh,Jayshankar,Siddaramappa,Sayilu,Shivaswamy,Veerabhadra,Umesh,and Srikanth Kuri has been appreciated for the commendable job done by them in nabbing the four accused under BUDS Act a meticulous investigation done by the team in booking the accused under BUDS Act a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
