37-year-old woman found murdered at a lodge in Yeshwanthpur police station limits on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as,Deepa Padam, from Odisha.
Senior officer told reporters,the victim had checked in on June 9 and next day found dead.
We suspect that the assailant had used the pillow to smother her to death and escaped after locking the door from outside.
The murder came to light when house keeping staff noticed no movements from inside the room and alerted the police.
The Yeshwanthpur police rushed to the spot and recovered the body for post mortem.
The police are now analyzing the cctv footage to identify the accused who is presently on the run.
