Crusader accident: Road accident near Belagavi;CM Bommai announces Rs5 lakh solatium for families of those killed

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced a solatium of Rs.5 lakh each for the families of those killed in the road accident near Belagavi.

Speaking to media persons in Belagavi Bommai said,it is most tragic that 7 people have lost their lives in the road accident near Belagavi.Many are seriously injured.

Arrangements have been made for free treatment of the injured.It has been decided to distribute Rs.5 lakh as a solatium for each of the families of those who were killed and another Rs2 lakh each from the Deputy Commissioner of the district.Those injured would be provided free treatment by the government.

Rs.5 lakh each from the Labour department

Among those killed,5 are labourers and the Labour department has decided to pay Rs.5 lakh solatium to the families of these workers, Bommai said.

Feticide:Action against the culprits

Replying to a question on the reported feticide case in Belagavi,Bommai said,it is a serious issue.Details of the concerned hospital have already been obtained.

The Deputy Commissioner has initiated action against the hospital.A thorough inquiry into the case has been ordered.Legal action will be taken against the culprits.
