n a joint operation,the Southeast Division police with Kolkata and bangladesh counterparts police team has arrested Faisal Ahmed who is on the run after murdering writer and blogger in Sylhet city in Bangladesh in May 2015 .
Senior officer told reporters,The accused Faizal Ahmed,was traced in the Indian city by the Bangladesh police with the help of kolkata counterparts and Bommanahalli police who sent all his information and photo the Bommanahalli police after getting the identity of the accused the crime team with other local intelligence skill the team arrested him.
The accused was living in a rented house and working as cab driver .
Initial probe revealed that Faizal crossed the porous border and came to Silchar in Assam soon after the court awarded death penalty to Faisal and three of his associates .
Faisal managed to get the voters ID using which he obtained passport and Driving licence .
The Bangladesh police who was keeping a tab on Faisal and his associates managed to trace him to Bommanahalli and sought the help of Kolkata police who in turn approached Bengaluru police for help and arrested him.
