CID officials on Wednesday detained Police sub inspector linked to PSI recruitment scam.
The accused officer serving anugondahalli police station in the outskirts of the city,played the role of middleman by receiving money from candidates and giving it to staff of the recruitment department who were playing key role in tampering OMR sheets.
The accused officer was on leave since the scam broke out and reported to duty few days ago.
His name cropped up during the questioning of the recruitment staff by CID officials about the possible involvement of others.
