Two visitors women trying to smuggle Hashish oil caught by alert KSISF staff of Central Prison

Alert security staff of Karnataka Industrial security Force on Tuesday caught two women in separate cases while they were trying to smuggle Hashish oil inside the Central prison of Parappana Agrahara prison on the pretext of visiting the inmates.

The accused has been identified as,Chaya TR,and Sangeetha Alphons.

Senior officer told reporters,The alert and active presence of woman Police Constable,Asha Rani, while frisking Chaya TR found a plastic bottle of coconut oil concealed in her private part.

Chaya had come to meet her relative undertrail,Kalappa and was subjected to frisking after she was given visitors pass .

Asha Rani found her behaviour suspicious and subjected her for thorough checking to find a plastic bottle concealed in her private part.

Further verification found that the bottle was filled with 55 grams of hashish oil .

Red alert sounded soon following which the staff stepped up the security and doubled the checking .

The staff checked Sangeetha Alphons and found 220 grams of Hashish oil concealed in a plastic cover concealed in her private part.

The staff after frisking recovered the plastic cover.Sangeetha had come to meet undertrail, Lohith and had taken visitors pass before undergoing physical check at the general visitors section 1 at the entrance gate .

The total value of the seized Hashish oil estimated to be around Rs.8 lakh,Mallikarjun, Superintendent of Central Prison,said in his complaint to the police on Tuesday.

Similarly,the security staff recovered 85 grams of Hashish oil worth Rs.2 lakh concealed inside layer of a bag which was came as parcel for convict Mohan Srinivas on Tuesday.

The drugs packed in a plastic cover stitched inside the layer of the bag which was detected by the security staff.

Based on the complained filed by Chief Superintendent of Prison,PS Ramesh,the Parappana Agrahara police have registered a case against the accused charging them under various sections of NDPS and Karnataka Prisons Act .

The detection coincided with the visit of Home minister, Agara Jnanendra who made surprise visit to the prison in the wake of serious of irregularities at the prison and warned to take strict action.
