The Pulakeshi Nagar police on Friday arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian national and recovered 12 grams of MDMA from him.
The accused has been identified as Chukwujckwv Anthony,resident of Lagos Anambra state of Nigeria,
Senior officer told reporters the Pulakeshinagar police inspector Kiran KB received a credible information about the drug peddling as soon as the information was received he along with his crime staff rushed to the spot and caught Nigerian drug peddler red handed while peddling drugs in Pulakeshi Nagar.
The police recovered Rs.2,000,a mobile phone and a scooter from him.
Investigations revealed that the accused used to procure the drugs from his contacts in the neighbouring state and sell it to his clients in the city.The police are trying to ascertain his travel documents and also his network.
The accused has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigation is on.
