The Pulakeshi Nagar police on Friday arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian national and recovered 12 grams of MDMA from him.
The accused has been identified as Chukwujckwv Anthony,resident of Lagos Anambra state of Nigeria,
Senior officer told reporters the Pulakeshinagar police inspector Kiran KB received a credible information about the drug peddling as soon as the information was received he along with his crime staff rushed to the spot and caught Nigerian drug peddler red handed while peddling drugs in Pulakeshi Nagar.
The police recovered Rs.2,000,a mobile phone and a scooter from him.
Investigations revealed that the accused used to procure the drugs from his contacts in the neighbouring state and sell it to his clients in the city.The police are trying to ascertain his travel documents and also his network.
The accused has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP East,Dr Bheemashankar S Guled,ACP,BS Abdul Khadar,PI,Kiran KB,and his special Anti-Narcotics squad as,Anand Kukkanavar,Ruman Pasha, Srinivas,Rajesab Mullanavar,Sanaullah,Lepakshappa,Girish KT and others has been appreciated for the exemplary work done by them in nabbing Nigerian drug peddler and a suitable reward will be given to whole team for the commendable job done by them he added.
