Gujarat: Shri Prakash Magdum has taken charge as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Press Information Bureau in Gujarat today in place of Dr. Dheeraj Kakdia who has been appointed as Additional Director General at Registrar of Newspapers of India (RNI) Headquarters, Delhi.
Mr. Prakash Magdum, a 1999 batch IIS officer, formerly served as Director at National Film Archives of India (NFAI), Pune and hails from Maharashtra. Mr. Prakash Magdum has served in media units of Central Government in various states including Assam, Kerala and has vast experience in media sector.
He also served as Registrar, Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. He was Defense Spokes person in Thiruvanantpuram in Kerala. He has written articles on film presentation in important publications.
