The Anti-Narcotics wing of the CCB arrested a gang of three including two women who were caught selling drugs to their clients on Magadi road.
The accused have been identified as,Sumithra Murugan,37,from gopalapura,Seetha Kuti,38,from Srirampura and CHandrahekhar,27 from Kodigehalli.
Senior officer told reporters team headed by Deepak R received credible information about the drugs being peddling in Magadi road police station limits as soon as the information was passed PI,Deepak R and his team rushed to spot and surrounded the area and kept a close watch on them and the trio were caught red handed while waiting for their clients on Magadi road to deliver the drugs .
Based on their information the police recovered 10 kilos of Marijuana,950 grams of Hashish oil and mobile phones and packing material, estimated to be worth Rs.90 lakh.
During investigation the accused confessed the crime and revealed that they were sourcing the drugs from their contact in Vishakapatnam in AP and smuggling into city,concealed in the vegetable load in trucks .
Based on the complaint filed by Deepak R,Police Inspector who conducted the raid,the accused have been booked under NDPS Act in Magadi road police station and taken into custody to ascertain their network and manhunt is on to nab the other accused involved in peddling drugs.
Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Joint CP Crime, Raman Gupta,DCP, Crime-2,BS Angadi,PI,Deepak R and his whole team for the commendable job done by them in nabbing the trio notorious drug peddlers and recovering narcotics substance from them a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
