Two SWR RPF Personnel Awarded by Ministry of Railways for their dedicated service to society

National Award by Minister of Railways in Women and Child security awarded to Smt.Zina Pinto,Lady Constable Bengaluru Division of SWR with a Cash Prize of Rs.1 Lakh by Minister of Railways.

National award 2nd Prize for Best Investigation all over the Country awarded to IPF Akhilesh Tiwari Bengaluru Div SWR with a cash prize of Rs. Fifty Thousand.

On 21.7.2022 Ministry of Railways announced the awards where Bengaluru Division RPF Lady Constable Smt Zina Pinto has been awarded the Hon’ble Minister of Railways Mahila Ewam Bal Suraksha Padak with a cash prize of Rs.1 Lakh for continuous efforts in women Security and Child rescue of Bengaluru division.

Smt.Zina Pinto was responsible for rescuing more than 35 children from the clutches of Human trafficking and cracking two cases of kidnapping of minors.

Apart from her scheduled duties she dedicated herself for various duties like detection of cases of crime against women,detection of theft of passengers’ belongings which enhanced women security over Bengaluru division of South Western Railways.

She also played a vital role as a part of All women RPF Women Security teams called “Shakti” and her dedicated efforts resulted in prevention and detection of many offences against women passengers making their journey safe and secure.

2.Shri.Akhilesh Tiwari,Inspector/ RPF of Bengaluru division has also been awarded with 2nd Prize of the Ministry of Railway’s medal for best investigation with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- for detection of Cyber criminals of the All India E ticketing Racket involving Pan India Network and arrest of the Mastermind Hamid Ashraf residing in Dubai that led to seizure of his properties worth Crores in India.

He was responsible for arrest of Ghulam Mustafa one of the India Heads of the Illegal software network and responsible for handling technical op erations the module that affected the entire e-Ticketing network of IRCTC.

Due to his consistent efforts more than 100 arrests were made in a crackdown on Illegal E Ticketing business which made passenger Journey seamless.

Both RPF personnel have made Bengaluru Division and South Western Zone Proud by their achievements and dedication towards Public service.RPF Commissioner,Debashmitha Chattopadhyay Banerjee said.
