CPIM led SFI clashed with TMC Student union

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Student Union and SFI (CPIM Student union) clashed on Thursday at Presidency College. Arguments escalated into fistfights. Several students were injured. Police came to handle the situation. Both sides got involved in a conflict when they went to the medical college.This incident started yesterday, Thursday. Trinamool complains that SFI has burnt their posters. On the other hand, the same complaint is also in their throats. The grumbling started. Whispering in the melee.According to sources, a total of 8 people were injured in the clash between the two sides. They were taken to the medical college for treatment. Even going there, the situation heated up again. The students became violent outside and inside the medical college. A large police force reached the spot to control the situation. A complaint has already been filed at the police station. Police are investigating the matter. It is to mention that  the Communist Party of India ( Marxist)-led front failed to win even a single seat in the last West Bengal assembly election. There is no left representative in the Bengal state assembly.  Even the Left Front lost a deposit in 158 of 177 seats it contested, In entire West Bengal, CPIM in only four seats secured second position. The worst was they became 7th in Darjeeling seat out 7.
