Abhijit Ray, Kolkata: -Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed grief over the horrific road accident on National Highway 14 in Birbhum. On this day, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote, “Deeply saddened by the death of 9 people, including 8 women, in a tragic accident in Birbhum. We will give Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased 2000 will be given for cremation under Samabyathi scheme.” On Tuesday afternoon, a DakshinbangaRashtriyaParivan Nigam bus was going from Rampurhat to Siuri. Eight female passengers, including the auto driver, died in a head-on collision between a government bus and an auto near Telda village of Rampurhat police station. The auto got completely crushed after hitting the government bus. The front part of the bus was damaged. The police are investigating the incident.
