Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:A Trinamool Congress party worker was shot dead. Today, Saturday morning, this incident took place in Basanti of South 24 Parganas at West Bengal. According to police sources, Trinamool activist Jane Alam Ghazi (32) was returning from Bharatgarh market and some of the miscreants shot at him. Eyewitnesses claimed that the miscreants fired about 4-5 rounds of bullets. The bullet hits Alam’s chest. He was seriously injured and fell on the ground.Alam was quickly rescued and first taken to Basanti Block Rural Hospital. He was taken from there to Canning Hospital as his physical condition was deteriorated. He died there while undergoing treatment. The body has been sent for post-mortem. However, the incident of firing has been denied by the police. They said that the person was killed with a sharp weapon.The whole matter is being investigated. Investigators are also looking into whether the murder was a personal grudge or some other reason. Samples were collected from the site. According to sources, four suspects have been arrested and questioned by the police. Due to the incident, there is a lot of excitement in the area. In this incident, the blame is on the BJP. The Trinamool has claimed that the BJP party is behind the murder. On the other hand, BJP has denied all the allegations.
