Alert Ashok Nagar police caught two persons part of inter state car thieves gang while they were moving suspiciously in a stolen car in Austin town on Tuesday afternoon with their arrest the team recovered 9 stolen cars worth Rs.1.2 Crore.
The accused Ayaz Pasha, 33 from Padarayanapura and Matiuddin, 32 from Kasturi Nagar.
During investigation the accused told the police that they would tamper the chasis of the vehicle to prepare fake documents and register in the city RTOs.The accused would then sell it to their contacts and share the money with their associates.
With their arrest the police have recovered five stolen cars from Chattisgarh,Delhi and Mumbai and other parts of the country through their network.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West, Sandeep Patil,DCP Central,Srinivas Gowda,ACP,Cubbon Park,Rajendra DS,PI,Srikanth F Thotagi,PSI, Mallikarjun,ASIs,as,Harichandra,Renuka,BS Chandrashekhar,Vasanthappa,Ravikumar,Prakash Ujjankuppa,and technical wing staff as, Ranganath, Ravikumar,Prakash Mergi,and Amaregowda and other crime staff who has done tremendous job in nabbing inter-state car thieves a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
