Special program chalked out to create new jobs: CM Bommai

A special program has been chalked out for creating new jobs by extending the financial assistance of Rs.5 lakh to Rs.10 lakh to one hundred SC/ST students in each taluk in State, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating state-level Bhovi Jan Jagruthi convention here on Sunday,he said 21st century is the century of knowledge.

Importance must be given for education.The government has evolved a number of programs for the social and academic development of students.

One hundred new hostels are being constructed for 1000 SC/ST students in Bengaluru,Mysuru,Hubballi-Dharwad,Kalaburagi and Mangaluru.

Besides, they are given monetary support to pursue higher education.An order has been issued to give free supply 75 units per month for Below Poverty Line families among the SC/ST communities.

They are also given Rs 15 lakh to own land and Rs 2 lakh to build house. Instruction has been given to prepare Rs 175 crore plan for the Bhovi Development Corporation.

Bommai said an able chairman will be appointed for the Bhovi Development Corporation soon.

Under the Streesamarthya scheme,the government is giving subsidy apart from bank loan up to Rs 10 lakh for each SC/ST stree Shakti Sanghas.

The Bhovi community will see developments under the guidance of the Bhovi community seer. The community people must be vigilant.

The government is striving for the education, employment and empowerment of community to uphold social justice.

Several programs have been chalked out to make them live self-reliant by providing education and jobs.

The CM pointed out the king of Bhutan has said happy life of people is the real yardstick to measure development and it has been acknowledged by the World Bank.

On order to make a last man in the society happy, government has chalked out programs to ensure health,education and employment.

Our government is progressive thinking and also working with commitment.He said his principal secretary N.Manjunath Prasad is working honestly for the development of all community people and working out solutions for many problems.He is an inspiration to everyone in Bhovi community,he noted.
